Wellspring Boost and Carry
The most recent teaser for Destiny 2: The Witch Queen showcased the weapon crafting system that gamers have been waiting for, as well as nine new Exotics that are as bizarre as they are beautiful.

Despite the fact that the mechanisms of weapon manufacturing are still a mystery, this clip makes it apparent what the benefits are: really custom-made firearms that allow you to choose the precise barrels, masterworks, magazines, and weapon attributes that you want. Additionally, in the description of the teaser, Bungie promised “new combinations of modifications, shaders, and complex stat pools” for weapon building, which would be revealed in the clip itself. This should eliminate a significant amount of RNG from the build-crafting process in Destiny 2, but it will almost certainly need a significant investment of time and work.
Much of the film is comprised of a highlight reel of new Exotics, beginning with the season pass-exclusive Grand Overture, which can also be used as a “slug launcher” and can fire full-auto missiles. When it comes to the Parasite grenade launcher, it’s a lot more literal than that: it fires Hive worms that deliver “increasing damage,” maybe depending on how long you charge each shot or how much airtime it receives.
In addition, the Osteo Striga SMG shoots “swarming bullets” that cause a “toxic burst,” which is a corrosive gas explosion. This SMG has the appearance of a Hive-tuned version of the iconic Recluse, and its Exotic perk sounds like an on-tap version of the Necrotic Grip Exotic gloves, which is a tempting combination of elements. It’s important to note that, although Osteo Striga is a pre-order incentive for the deluxe version of The Witch Queen, it is not limited to that edition, at least according to this video teaser.
The three Exotic glaives that are distinct to each class seem to be the most fascinating Exotic weapons in the video. When the Titans use their Edge of Action ability, a tiny protective barrier similar to the Ward of Dawn bubble may be deployed, providing a little amount of protection for them. Edge of Intent is a Warlock ability that comes with a detachable healing turret that may be deployed. Hunters, on the other hand, received the Edge of Concurrence, a more attack-focused glaive that fires a tracking chain lightning bolt.

Each class will also get a new piece of Exotic armor, which will include two of the first Exotics that are specialized to Stasis. With the Hoarfrost-Z Chest, Titans may create a wall of Stasis crystals in lieu of their barricade ability, thereby replacing their barricade ability. As a result of this update, warlocks will have access to the Osmiomancy Gloves, a second charge of the Stasis coldsnap grenade, and improved seeking abilities. Finally, Hunters have the Blight Ranger Helmet, which works well with middle-tree Arcstrider since it increases the damage dealt by reflected projectiles when wearing it.
We can reasonably assume that, between the raid Exotics and the surprise Exotics, these aren’t the only Exotics that will be available in The Witch Queen, though they will most likely be among the first ones we’ll be able to get when the expansion debuts in November.

In general, each new Exotic adds to Destiny 2’s growing MMORPG-ification. It’s been building for years, but with The Witch Queen, it’s reaching a fever pitch. Weapon crafting is undoubtedly important, but so are more clearly defined gear loadouts depending on roles such as support, tank, and DPS. We can reasonably assume that, between the raid Exotics and the surprise Exotics, these aren’t the only Exotics that will be available in The Witch Queen, though they will most likely be among the first ones we’ll be able to get when the expansion debuts in November.
