According to Bungie, Destiny 2’s year of major updates will begin in late 2018. Which involves an all-new content upgrade in September, expansion packs in December, and new seasons for all of Destiny 1’s maps in early 2019. With The Witch Queen, we are going to fully redesign the competitive online Crucible mode. With each update, we are still bringing enhancements to all facets of the game, including our gameplay and the loot system through how players advance through each season of the game, gaining increasingly strong and influential gear. Destiny 2 is going to get a new cross-platform feature that is going to enable players on PC and on console to play together, to a far increase the amount of players whom can ascend the platform’s pvp ladder. In a blog post written by Bungie, the studio maintained that crossplay will be coming to the game this upcoming season. The studio also announced that multiplayer tournaments did not force players to select one console device over the other. “Don’t worry, we won’t be matching players who used the PS4 in the PC Master Race into Crucible matches until players who used the PS4 in the PC Master Race directly invite their console mates to compete with them in the PC Crucible Pools.”
A lot of other big improvements will be arriving with upcoming updates, all of which will fix long-standing player concerns. Now, to follow the last subject, a list the more important ones:
The creators of this game currently have grand ambitions to avoid outdated guns and outfitings. This ensures that any arms and armors that have a total amount of power that can actually be infused will continue to be able to access this max level of power. Aside from a significant increase in the fun aspect, this has become a major help for players that has been disappointed with the sunsetting experiment during the last year.
As part of the “Destiny Content Vault”, the “Vault of Glass” raid will be brought back, as well as some other raids from season 1. Bungie also made it known that difficulty tiers would soon be introduced to raid so that a raid match will match players who are as well-equipped and well-networked as humanly possible.
Bungie is working on building a new Trials of Osiris game mode “Overhaul”. This does not imply they are modifying the rewards system. This means they are trying to adjust how the skill rankings operate, and the single players will be allowed to compete.
Bungie also outlined significant improvements to how the Darkness-based Stasis subclass works in both PvE and PvP operations in order to scale down its superiority over human enemies and get the older subclasses up to par.
There would no longer be a fifty power level point grind to hit 100 power level to play the season. There will instead be limited mini season expansions in which power level will just leap by ten. That can give players a chance to steadily climb back into the game after shifting seasons and give one or two levels up at a time without feeling stressed. Many of the improvements and adjustments tend to be a reaction to player concerns, and perhaps as a response to some of the criticism Bungie has gotten from players on the lack of progress over the years.
The gameplay of the game is also challenging amid the enjoyment and interaction. Any of those who play Destiny may feel that they are spending their time or energy with something they don’t enjoy. If they get frustrated or tired of the game and pass on, there isn’t a reinvention of the game to warrant them returning. The several various styles of guns often vary in the ability and work of each gun and don’t find their proper synergies. Bungie seems to be trying to solve all of these issues with all of its strongest intentions and its interactive interface production plans to come out with The Witch Queen in 2021.
In the Destiny world, things are getting stronger and better.
With all of the drama that will undoubtedly occrue in an online game, Studio Wildcard has treated and dealt with all of this with dignity and class. With last year’s “Beyond the Sun” extension, Bungie indicated it was able to expand its Destiny world toward a longer-term reach with a more service-oriented paradigm and a more coherent vision for the game’s plot and framework.
When people were talking about the market going forward, they were speaking to the game in its present state, and the kinds of interactions which would need to react to the changes. And last week, Activision confirmed the recruitment of several new executives to the board of directors and also announced a massive change of its corporate leadership and also announced a studio extension to include an expansion of the Destiny universe to cover other platforms, opening the gates to film and television.
Bungie has shown that it is capable of responding to reviews and concentrating it’s efforts on what does matter for the developers. Since the beginning of the first major project, Bungie has diverted emphasis and energy to aspects of the game that have seen the most backlash.
