This weekend sees the return of the Trials of Osiris, the special PvP challenge mode for Destiny 2 that runs over the weekend to allow players to take each other on to win exclusive loot. This weekend has seen the
The Trials of Osiris are now undergoing another trial weekend, which will have a significant impact on the Destiny 2 Matchmaking system in particular.
It is expected that there will be plenty of the regular weekly prizes to be unlocked, as well as a Flawless weapon for those who can string together the highest scores, as stated by Bungie.
However, there will be some modifications to the way matches are made, which may make it more difficult for certain players to come out on top than normal.
“The possibility exists for Enhancement Prisms, Ascendant Shards, and Trials Engrams to be dropped. Whether you want to Focus your engrams and roll for a particular reward or just roll the dice, this is the most efficient method of earning Trials treasure. Armour drops also have a greater probability of producing superior stat rolls than other types of drops.
Additionally, a new set of Seasonal Challenges was added this week, including the Trial by Firing Squad challenge. The goal is to win at least 20 matches over the weekend to be eligible for a Reed’s Regret Linear Fusion Rifle, XP, and Bright Dust as rewards.
The ability to concentrate Trials Engrams for additional rolls at Saint-14 is unlocked after you’ve obtained Reed’s Regret, which may be obtained via several means.
Regarding matching modifications, Bungie has stated that they will be utilizing a matchmaking node that will be exclusively for solo players, with no preset fireteams being permitted to join the matchmaking pool.
While players may continue to gain Trials reputation and even attempt a Flawless run, this will be a distinct node in the Director that will be placed immediately above Trials of Osiris.
