Last month’s Destiny 2 Showcase, which was mostly focused on the full reveal of the upcoming The Witch Queen expansion, revealed that Bungie had been planning a complete overhaul of the Trial of Osiris challenge for some time. That overhaul was finally implemented yesterday as part of the newest Trials weekend, which was set on the Burnout map.
Rather of focusing only on kills, the new edition of Trials emphasizes Reputation-building rather than kills alone, and has shorter rounds as well as the option to continue playing until you earn the prizes you want. Bungie specifically designed this update in order to attract more players to the game. If the Trials will continue as popular week after week, or whether the new adjustments will be accepted by the community, will be determined in time. For the time being, however, this specific Trials of Osiris weekend will go down in history as the most successful weekend in the history of Destiny 2. Despite the fact that Bungie has been forced to withdraw the Telesto once again, what else is new?
