Destiny 2: The Witch Queen guide: How to increase your Power level
Bungie launched Destiny 2: The Witch Queen on February 22, 2022, to critical acclaim. This update provides a plethora of new content, but it will also level the playing field by lowering the Power level of all players to 1350, which is the level required to begin the new campaign. Then everyone will have to play in order to raise their strength level and engage in different activities such as Nightfalls or the new raid, among other things.
This Destiny 2 tutorial will walk you through the process of leveling your gear and boosting your Power level. We’ll go over everything you need to know about increasing your Power level when The Witch Queen drops.
SOFT CAP in witch queen boost
It is possible to reach the soft cap for The Witch Queen expansion by spending 1500. What does it mean to have a “soft cap”? As a result, everything and everything might grant you a Power level rise up until you reach 1500 Power level. This may be in the form of blue drops from the ground or activity awards; whatever drops for you will have a Power level that is a few Power levels higher than your current Power level.
POWERFUL CAP at the witch queen boosting
When it comes to The Witch Queen expansion, the maximum Powerful level is 1550, which means that between 1500 and 1550, the only method to boost your Power level is to get a reward from activities that promise to offer Powerful or Pinnacle goods. Complete the Legendary Campaign and you’ll be well on your way to earning the coveted Powerful Cap, which we’ll discuss in more detail below.
It is recommended that you preserve all of your strong rewards until after reaching 1500 if you want to be as efficient as possible – maybe for a day one raid (or 1520 if you are doing the Legendary campaign). The number of Powerful and Pinnacle loot drops is limited to one every week, so you don’t want to spend your time gathering Powerful or Pinnacle loot when you may still get levels from unrestricted rewards.
PINNACLE CAP
When it comes to The Witch Queen expansion, the maximum Pinnacle level is 1560, which means that the only option to improve your Power level between 1550 and 1560 is to get Pinnacle prizes. If you want to optimize the efficacy of the Pinnacle awards, you should wait until after you have achieved Power 1550 before collecting them. This is because the number of loot drops is limited to one each week, just as the Powerful prizes are restricted to one per week. While it’s important to note that there’s no use in saving Pinnacles if you aren’t planning on leveling up your character to 1550 by the end of the week, If you have a character, we suggest that you complete all of their Powerful rewards before moving on to Pinnacle activities.
LEGENDARY CAMPAIGN
The first place you want to start your leveling journey in Season 16 is The Witch Queen campaign, specifically the Legendary difficulty. The Legendary campaign offers many rewards, but one of the most important is a full set of gear that is 1520 power. This set includes one piece of armor and one weapon per slot, meaning eight pieces in total — enough to replace every character slot and instantly get your Power average to 1520 in the vow of the deciple boosting.
By completing the Legendary campaign, you will be able to completely bypass the soft cap grind and shave 20 levels off the powerful grind. This is by far the most effective method of leveling up in The Witch Queen’s realm. In addition, the Legendary edition of the campaign provides more drops, which reduces the possibility of having to venture outside of the campaign in order to get additional power.
POWERFUL REWARDS BREAKDOWN the vow of deciple
- Powerful awards are presently divided into two levels, with the first tier consisting of the following rewards: Tier 1 (+1 level of power) is the most powerful. Taking care of eight vendor bounties, including Gambit, Vanguard, Crucible, and Banisher Win all seven rounds of the Competitive Crucible Weekly Nightfall challenge in order to advance. Tier 2 (with an additional two powerful levels) Vault of Glass is controlled by the Three Dares of Eternity.
Do note that these might change when The Witch Queen launches, but all activities clearly state the level of reward they offer, so just check the tooltip in-game if you’re unsure.
PINNACLE REWARDS BREAKDOWN
Pinnacle prizes are now divided into two categories, each of which includes the following benefits:
Tier 1 (+1 Pinnacle level) is the highest level possible.
Rewards and bounties for Hawthorne residents Three games in the Crucible Three gambit matches were played. Three Vanguard Strikes while matching the weekly elemental singe is a good combination.
Tier 2 (with an additional two Pinnacle levels)
Dares of Eternity: Grasp of Avarice 100,000 Nightfall score 250,000 score on Grasp of Avarice
Please keep in mind that things may change when The Witch Queen is released, although all actions that provide Pinnacle prizes are clearly indicated. If an activity’s Powerful or Pinnacle tier level isn’t listed, you may use a program like Bray.tech to figure out what level it is at.
WHAT ORDER SHOULD I PLAY MY CHARACTERS IN?
If you have three Destiny classes, you may choose to prioritize one over the others in terms of leveling. In order to make this simpler, you may actually play in a certain sequence each week, with the final character you play in a week virtually always ending up as the highest-ranked of your three characters.
If you want to play the raid on day one, or even if you simply want to maximize the power of your main character, the easiest method to accomplish it is to employ a snaking order. First, arrange your characters in a logical sequence that you believe will allow you to concentrate on them the most, with the top character being your primary and the last character being your least played. For example, the sequence in which I would want my characters to participate in the new Witch Queen raid is as follows:
Warlock\sTitan\sHunter
If you’re playing in ranked order, you’ll want to get each character to 1500 points (preferably by defeating the Legendary campaign three times) and then complete every Powerful and Pinnacle action before moving on to the next character. So for me, I’d start with my primary character (a Warlock), then go on to my second character (a Titan), and lastly my third character (a Dwarf) (Hunter). The second week of the month, I’d want to reverse that sequence, starting with my third character (Hunter) and working my way down to my primary character (Warlock). This should result in my Warlock having the greatest power level of my three characters, as opposed to my other two characters.
MISCELLANEOUS TIPS
If you are not interested in maximizing your Power level, just go through the game and enjoy yourself. However, given that you’ve been following our guide for this long, we’re going to presume you’re seeking to level up swiftly in preparation for the raid or Grandmaster Nightfalls later in the season. In addition, here is some more information to bear in mind during leveling:
If you plan on completing the new raid in one day, the required Power level is just 1530, according to the official guide. You may just play through the Legendary campaign and work your way up to those Power levels over the course of the first several weeks. When compared to previous raids, the grind for The Witch Queen should be significantly simpler, so don’t stress about properly optimizing your grind as much as you should and take some time to enjoy the scenery.
Bright Engrams should be turned in as soon as possible when you get them until you reach the Powerful level threshold. These are regarded +1 Powerful prizes from the moment they are dropped, which means that their Power does not rise in proportion to your Power level. If you continue to level up without turning in the Bright Engram, you will effectively be wasting your time and resources. In the event that you’re having trouble in the raid and you get a Bright Engram, it’s always worth it to take a Tower break to decode it.
Finally, Destiny 2 employs a slot leveling system, which means that gear drops in accordance with your current average Power level, rather than per slot. One potential snag with this approach is that some of your equip slots may go out of sync with the rest of the system. You could have an overall level of 1525, yet your Hunter’s Cloak might be locked at 1520, and your helmet might be floating about in the sky at 1528.
Keeping your Powerful and Pinnacle drops within a few Power levels of each other will allow you to get the most out of your drops. This may be accomplished by gathering things that drop “at Power.” At Power indicates that the gear drops at your current average Power level, which may assist in bringing certain items that have fallen behind up to speed (bringing your Cloak up to 1525 and raising your overall average without using a weekly Powerful or Pinnacle reward drop). This has the potential to raise your overall Power level and make those Powerful and Pinnacle moments even more memorable.
Without even-outing your armor, a Pinnacle or Powerful may drop a +2 power helmet, which would be a waste since it’s already the greatest slot in your armor set. Items will be dropped “at Power” in several playlist activities like as Strikes and Gambit, so keep a look out for any gear that is trailing behind the rest of your party.
