A Corsair Down item is the first step in this process. This object is a transponder that conveys a message describing the position of a distressed Corsair. The Corsair Down object is a random drop discovered by destroying the enemy forms of Scorn. They can be discarded during routine discovery, patrols or public events. Depending on the quests you have created with Petra Venj, you might have a search that drops a Corsair Down badge in a search phase. If not, you’ll only have to kill enemies with Contempt before the badge goes down.

After you have obtained the piece, you will have to inspect your search tab. There are several iterations of this object that can carry you to multiple parts of the Dreaming Region. There are several places to be entered and the message on the badge arrives at the back end: Gardens (Gardens of Esila), Bay (Downed Wishes), Spine and Mist, Harbinger (Harbinger’s Seclude), Room (Starlight Chamber) or Aphelion (The Whole of Aphelion).

What you want to do from here is have a peek at the symbol Corsair Down and find the Corsair. This Corsair has collapsed, but a brief war starts after you find them. Destroy the enemies that spawn when you communicate with the dead Corsair, and then return the Corsair Badge back to the Corsair outpost.
