Destiny 2 Next-Gen Details: PS5 and Xbox X|S Upgrades
Destiny 2 comes with updated technology in next-gen consoles.
Destiny 2 would soon be on the PS5 and Xbox X|S series, adding some big updates and improvements to the long-term sci-fi shooter. Players on next generation consoles will encounter Destiny 2 at higher frame rates and resolutions as well as other enhancements, including faster loading times and cross-generation play. Best of all, this update is absolutely free for those who own the title. Here’s what we hear about Destiny 2 on PS5 and Xbox X|S.
On PS5, Destiny 2 provides the following improvements:
4K 60 FPS Resolution
120 FPS Crucible Assistance
Slider field of view
Fast Load Times
Play of cross-generation
Destiny 2 looks and runs even smoother at PlayStation 5, with an excellent 60 FPS at 4K, as many first-person shooters do. You will play with 120 FPS in the Crucible, but the game fall to a lower resolution. An exact resolution wasn’t provided, but it is possibly somewhere in the 1080p or slightly higher ballpark, as that is what most other games with a 120hz fashion do.
A field of view slider that offers a close FOV set to the PC edition of the game would also be added. Faster load times can also not be underestimated, since playing Destiny 2 takes a lot of time loading between destinations.
Xbox Sequence X|S Improvements Destiny 2
Destiny 2 includes the following enhancements on Xbox Sequence X|S:
4K 60 FPS Resolution (Series X)
60 FPS 1080p (Series S)
Crucible 120 FPS help (Series X)
Slider field of view
Fast Load Times
Play of cross-generation
Destiny 2 edition Xbox Sequence X|S suits PS5, but the S version has several noteworthy limitations owing to lower power and budget costs. The Series S version of the game remains a worthwhile endeavor which offers an enormous improvement over the current game version.
On series X, at 4K you should anticipate 60 FPS, although at series S the resolution drops to 1080P. 120 FPS is allowed on Series X in the Crucible, but Series S owners cannot access this function. Both devices benefit from quicker load times, and ultimately the gaming performance would be much higher.
Destiny 2 is currently available for Desktop, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox series X|S. See the official Bungie page for more details about the next-generation edition of Destiny 2.
